Hello folks, my name is Jessica kelly and I like to think of myself as a nexusknitter. Your probably wondering what does that mean. Through this blog I will try to show and explain over time what that is. In short nexus is making connections and I believe in doing that with my handmade knit and crochet items that I make. Some of which I sell online through Etsy and also in person at my local farmers markets in my hometown area in montana. My wonderful daughter actually came up with the term for me. She graduated in physics at MSU and is my science and math buff. My cover picture of my blog is of a shawl that I just finished test knitting for a designer that I love. Her pattern is now for sale on ravelry for all to buy and I love it. This picture with this post is from a walk out in our regional park in bozeman mt where I live. My son and I were taking out dog for a walk and it was a gorgeous day. We had just come out of a very long cold spell of very low negative numbers for a few weeks and it was really nice to see the sun again. Winter and spring here in Montana kind of morph together. So you take your good days when you can. A little bit more about me, I’m a mom of two wonderful kids. My oldest is 23 and my youngest will be 16 in May. A girl and boy in that order. I’ve been married to my husband for 29 years this July. Along with connecting with my crafts I also play violin and have performed with my local symphony for going on 33 years now. I have always enjoyed music as I grew up with two music teachers for parents. Music and crafts go hand in hand. Through out my time with this blog as I figure things out I will try to bring you more things about my process and new stitches I’m learning and new connections I’m making with my craft. If you have things you would like me to explore more on and anything you would like to hear about more feel free to message me and let me know. I will try to fit it in. For now as it is coming soon to be st. Patrick’s Day, May the luck of the Irish be with you and think green for spring to soon be here. Til next time, happy stitching

Looking forward to hearing more!!
